About Asilomar Conference Center Asilomar, meaning "refuge by the sea," is nestled along the shoreline of the Monterey Marine Sanctuary in Pacific Grove, California. An enchanting combination of forest and dunes, the grounds provide a tranquil setting that fosters creativity and inspiration – perfect for any number of events. In addition to guest accommodations, 20 private conference and meeting rooms and 20 breakout rooms are available. Ranging from the 650-seat Merrill Hall to intimate living rooms appropriate for groups of up to 10 individuals, Asilomar provides the flexibility to meet the needs of nearly any size group. Full audio-visual services are also available if required. Conference Center Hotel The Asilomar Conference Hotel is located on 105 acres of forest, dune and beach at the tip of California's historic Monterey Peninsula. Overlooking the Pacific, living and meeting accommodations are set among Monterey pines and cypresses. As a "Natural Area", Asilomar retains most of the original flora and fauna of the peninsula. Sea otters and seals swim off-shore. Deer and raccoons live on the grounds. The tide pools of the Asilomar State Beach are just a few minutes from the Conference Center. The center's 314 guest rooms are spread throughout the grounds, and are designed to be free from everyday interruptions, such as telephones and televisions. Data ports are available, however, for laptop computer connections. Wireless internet access is available in the main lobby. Note: Hotel fees include dinner, breakfast, and lunch the following day. There are no TVs or phones in the guestrooms, public phones are found on the grounds. For those lodging at Asilomar Conference Center, the conference center will coordinate your room registration and fee. Follow the instructions on the Asilomar Hotel Registration Form to sign up for housing at the Asilomar Conference Center. Room rates include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each room has two double beds, a private bath, no phone, and no TV. Wireless internet access is available in the main lobby.

Airport Shuttle
A shuttle service is available for transportation between the Asilomar Conference Center and the Monterey, San Jose, and San Francisco airports. If you need this service, we suggest using the Monterey/Salinas Airbus service at www.montereyairbus.com, where you will find the necessary information and online forms to make reservations. Please be sure to mention in the comment box that your final destination is the Asilomar Conference Center.

Also, please take travel time to the airport into account when planning your departure. The San Jose and San Francisco airports are at least a 2-hour drive from the Asilomar Conference Center.

Weather
Asilomar is located along the shore of the central coast of California, where the weather is mild year-round. However, coastal weather varies throughout the day. It can be foggy in the early morning, become warmer and sunny around noon, turn cool and breezy later in the afternoon, and become chilly in the evening. Throughout most of the year, Asilomar's midday temperatures average about 60-65 degrees F. It is recommended that you bring a warm sweater or lightweight jacket for your visit, as well as an umbrella, since an occasionally shower is not unusual. Current local weather information.
